Job Summary
The Chief Accountant is responsible for the day to day management of the Accounts Department and for delivering timely and accurate financial information to Executives. This position requires an exceptional leader and team player with the ability to organize and motivate a team to deliver excellent results.
Responsibilities
- Manage day to day Finance and Accounting operations
- Review and approve payment vouchers
- Timely preparation of Management Accounts
- Prepare annual budget
- Manage annual financial audit to ensure completion within schedule
- Develop and maintain internal controls and effective accounting systems and policies
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and file Tax Returns
- Provide analytical reports to management
- Staff management and development
Skills / Attributes Required
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent people management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to multi – task
- Proactive and flexible
Qualifications & Experience Required
- ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Management
- At least three years’ experience in the role of an Accountant
