IT Network Administrator

A well-established supermarket is seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position for its branch in Kingston: IT Network Administrator

Core Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Information Technology Manager the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing effective support for the company’s network infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience          

• First Degree in Information Technology from a recognized Tertiary Institution.
• A minimum of 2- 3 years working experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 200X Server.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/Vista Workstation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
• Knowledge of Sage Accpac ERP.
• Knowledge of DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP configuration and excellent networking background.
• Knowledge of network security.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective planning and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Confidential, organized, honest and a team player.
• Flexible working hours (i.e. to be able to work late in the evenings and on weekends).
• Access to a reliable motor vehicle would be an asset.
