Financial Controller

A venerable and progressive airline transportation and service company is seeking a dynamic personality for the position of Financial Controller.

A highly qualified and forward-thinking person who can lead in consolidating the rapid growth that the company has experienced in the last few years while strategically repositioning it to maximally exploit the projected growth in the industry. The Financial Controller is responsible for leading, managing and developing the finance department and is responsible for all aspects of Financial Accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventory Control, Budgeting and Financial Management Reporting, and all the tasks associated with this role.

Responsibilities:          

·         Major responsibilities are Month End Reporting, Payroll, Cost Management Project, Year End Audit, and Forecasting in conjunction with all department managers to ensure smooth running of all financial related aspects          

·         Other responsibilities include Statutory Compliance in the Organization to ensure appropriate standards of legislation and accounting are followed.          

·         Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain, streamline, and strengthen internal controls          

·         Should maintain good relationship and communicate frequently regarding business related needs with all Management and Staff          

·         Must have good decision making skills with regards to operational decisions          

·         Experience in the field of multi-modal transportation related accounts matters an asset

Skill Requirements:          

·         A formal accounting education and membership with any accounting body such as Institute of Chartered Accountants or CPA etc.          

·         Commercial enterprise managerial reporting experience is a must          

·         Good ability to motivate, develop and manage team and efficiency to work with other similar staff          Technical and functional skills in financial controlling          

·         Resilient Customer focus and strong analytical and financial skills          

·         Good Communication skills and exhibit excellent professional ethics

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:          

·         Bachelors degree (Finance/ Accounting Preferred)          

·         Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA preferred          

·         Proven working experience as a Financial Controller/CFO          

·         Proficiency in Budget Presentation
