Accounting Clerk

Applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position: ACCOUNTING CLERK

RESPONSIBILITIES      
·         Open the relevant Purchase Orders from time to time to ensure timely processing of all invoices for suppliers of goods and services      
·         Manage the imprest account in keeping with the guidelines of the Operational Procedures manual       Arrange for the procurement of goods and services      
·         Manage Inventory of small wares, chemical, stationary, food & beverage      
·         Prepare suppliers’ invoices to be sent to the UWI Bursary for payment and follow through delivering the highest quality of service to suppliers      
·         Manage the storage, access and retrieval of the daily cash control float and ensure proper handover from one shift to the next

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE      
·         Associate Degree in Accounting or other related field of study     
·         Minimum 3 years experience in the hospitality industry      
·         Supervisory Management

ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES      

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills      
·         Bookkeeping and accounting skills      
·         Computer literacy      
·         Administrative skills      
·         Be able to work extended hours, Monday-Sunday, early mornings, nights, and public holidays.
