Quality Assurance Officer - The Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College

The Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College invites applications for the following position:  Quality Assurance Officer

The incumbent is responsible for developing, managing and enhancing the quality assurance programme of the institution, and provide for guidance to the staff on acceptable quality assurance standards, systems and processes for quality teaching, research development, curriculum development, and other services offered at the institution.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:      
·         Master’s degree preferably in an area related to Education      
·         Professional certification in education/teaching with at least 10 years relevant experience      
·         Minimum of 5 years administrative experience in a tertiary educational institution, an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:      
·         Excellent oral and written communication      
·         Ability to analyze and interpret data then present related information      
·         Research skills      
·         Report and proposal writing skills 5. Lecturer (Research Coordinator)      
·         Research-based Post Graduate Degree in Education or the Social Sciences      
·         Be a trained teacher with a minimum of five (5) years teaching and research experience      
·         Should embrace and be able to nurture an innovative, inquiry-based, knowledge generating research disposition.      
·         Experience teaching at the tertiary level would be an asset      
·         Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
