The Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College invites applications for the following position: Procurement Practitioner
JOB SUMMARY
Required to manage the procurement system and process of the organization for all goods, works and services to ensure transparency, objectivity, integrity and efficiency consistent with the relevant policies, legislation, regulations and guidelines of the Government of Jamaica.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting; Business Administration or related discipline
- Minimum of two (02) years experience in similar position
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of Government of Jamaica (GOJ) procurement procedures
- Knowledge and ability to understand and analyze financial statements
- Familiarization with GOJ standard bidding document
- Knowledge of financial management principles
- Excellent report writing skills
- Competence in use of Microsoft Office
