Sales & Events Coordinator

Applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following position: SALES & EVENTS COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be expected to plan, coordinate and organize all details concerning the venue and logistics for service providers for weddings, banquets, conferences, workshops, seminars and various other convention types. Additionally, the coordinator will work cross departments, undertake administrative responsibilities relating to an event such as recording of bookings, preparing contracts, collecting payments and carrying out evaluations of each event in order to constantly improve standards of service, secure and build market share.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE      
·         An Associate or University Degree in Hotel Tourism Management or a related field of Hospitality      
·         A minimum of 3 years post degree experience in the hospitality industry      
·         A track record of achievement and success in Banquets and Sales Letter      
·         Established relationships with service providers in the hospitality and catering industry      
·         Supervisory Management

ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES
The candidate should possess sound organizational, sales and marketing ability while displaying excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels. The incumbent should be customer oriented, flexible, analytical, and self propelled. S/he should be able to work extended hours, Monday-Sunday, early mornings, nights, and public holidays.
