A subsidiary of an
international company contracted to work with the National Water Commission on
the Kingston & St. Andrew Non-Revenue Water Reduction Project seeks a Construction manager
The RIGHT candidate
must be able to:
·
Manage the repair of broken mains, the
replacement of leaking service lines and the construction PRV chambers.
·
Manage the installation of meters, valves, PRVs,
pressure tapping points and telemetry bollards. Ensure that jobs are planned and
undertaken in accordance with standard operating procedures and proper
construction techniques.
·
Monitor jobs ensuring compliance with the
National Works Agency requirements for working on the highway.
·
Ensure that underground utilities are correctly
marked prior to excavation
·
Facilitate the adherence of all work undertaken
to relevant specifications.
·
Assess and ensure that asphalt reinstatement of
completed trenches is accomplished.
·
Coordinate and direct the work of site
supervisors, the traffic manager and the utility co-coordinator.
Qualification and
Experience:
·
Bsc. in Civil Engineering with necessary
registration
·
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pipeline
construction and working on the highway.
Other
Requirements:
·
Proven experience in and advanced knowledge of
construction management processes means and methods.
·
Excellent knowledge of relevant rules,
regulations and quality standards.
·
Leadership and human resource management
skills
·
Excellent time management skills.
·
Ability to work beyond usual working hours in an
effort to meet deadline.
