The Inventory & Data Entry Officer is directly responsible for data entry of production, inventory and quality & food safety information into their respective databases, compiling all relevant data into KPI analysis workbooks, generating reports and completing inventory costing reports for finished products and incoming raw materials.
Key Competencies and Special Requirements: 
• Bachelor’s degree/ Associate Degree/Diploma in Business Administration from a reputable institution 
• 3-5 years related experience in a food production facility 
• Inventory materials management, goods receiving, inventory control or general warehousing experience 
• Awareness of food safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices 
• Superior data entry skills 
• Working knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures 
• Working knowledge of the SAP Business 1 system and the ability to update this software regularly and accurately

Director of Finance - The Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL)

The Jamaican Foundation for Lifelong Learning (JFLL) an agency of the Ministry of Education, charged with the execution of adult and youth learning and lifelong learning interventions from basic literacy to the secondary level, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Director of Finance

Reporting to the Executive Director the incumbent oversees all business development and fiscal activities for the Foundation and is responsible for managing the financial activities of the Foundation in keeping with government’s financial regulations and prevailing corporate objectives, strategies and programmes. The Finance Director also provides budgetary and fiscal direction for the Foundation and is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining effective accounting systems, standards, internal controls and practices for sustaining and improving the financial status, accountability and operating efficiency of the Foundation.
Key Responsibilities 
• Participates in the development of strategic plans to facilitate the achievement of short and long term corporate goals and objectives in consultation with the Executive Director, The Executive Management Team and the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. 
• Ensures the sound implementation of approved strategic plans by evaluating prescribed control reports, financial statements and performance reports by functional areas with reference to budgets and instituting corrective action as appropriate. 
• Initiates, implements and monitors the Foundation’s revenue based projects. 
• Directs the development, presentation and implementation of the Foundation’s budget and formal budget documents, aligning justification for expenditure to established operating plans. 
• Negotiates terms and conditions of grants, contracts and service agreements with external contractors, consultants, donor and other Agencies subject to Procurement Committee, Board and National Contract Commission (NCC) approval. 
• Assesses, refines, develops and establishes appropriate systems and procedures for the effective and efficient administration of the Foundation’s resources.
The ideal candidate should have: 
• Masters of Business Administration Degree with specialization in Finance or its Equivalent. 
• Five years’ experience in financial and operations management at a senior level. 
• Knowledge of budget preparation and fiscal/financial management. 
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and accounting accounts 
• Excellent forecasting and strategic planning skills 
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
• Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional staff and clientele in the field. This is a full travelling position and requires the incumbent to own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.

Job Purpose 
Under the general direction of the Project Manager, the incumbent will 
(a) support the activities of the Project, by focusing on the development of a Building Envelope refurbishing and Facilities Energy Management programme. 
(b) The Engineer will also ensure that the supply, installation, operation and warranty and maintenance of the investment assets under the Programme conform to International and Jamaican codes of best practice. 
(c) He/she will also oversee the maintenance contracts for each completed retrofit and play an active role in the development and presentation of demand side management workshops and in-house training for the beneficiary agencies.
Minimum Required Qualification and Experience: 
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction, Engineering or Architecture; or equivalent qualifications 
• At least five (5) yearsʼ experience in assignments related to the design, implementation and monitoring of energy efficiency programs;
Remuneration: 
Basic Salary: $2,000,004.00 per annum 
Travelling with motor vehicle: $643,128.00 per annum 
Travelling without motor vehicle: $260,484.00 per annum
Successful candidate will be engaged on contract for a period of 2 years.

Site Project Manager & Project Engineer - Schneider Electric

We are a General Contracting Company performing energy efficiency retrofits in the Kingston, Jamaica Area. Our Projects involve retrofitting HVAC, Lighting, Solar PV, Building Automation Systems, Plumbing in occupied Commercial & Federal Buildings.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and update project schedule on a routine basis 
  • Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with company quality policy 
  • Coordinate project in accordance with contract documents
  •  Schedule and conduct all project construction & safety meetings
  • Manage subcontractors to deliver high quality installation on schedule
  • Manage all document control for projects including but not limited to: RFIs, Meeting
  • Minutes, Punchlists, Transmittal & Submittal Logs, Issues Logs, QC Checklists, As-builts, O&MsCoordinate and direct project closure to customer
  •  Project safety program administration
  • Participate in subcontractor qualification, bidding & selection
  • Collaborate with Estimating & Cost Control team and subcontractors to quantify construction costs. As required create engineering estimates for scope items
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to create project's baseline construction schedule and closeout schedule
  • Provide constructability reviews and input to the project team
  • Review subcontractor and/or vendor submittals for completeness
  • Facilitate review/approval of submittals by Project's Engineering Team
  • Facilitate resolution of technical issues that arise during project's construction phase
  • Responsible to interface with client, facility occupants, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and Schneider Electric Staff.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. Education: 
  • Associates Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical) or equivalent work experience required. 
  • Bachelor's degree in same disciplines highly desirable. Military/commercial training is an acceptable equivalent to a formal degree.
B. Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of post collegiate experience in Engineering, Construction, Building 
  • Automation Systems (controls), HVAC Systems and/or Construction Management.
C. Skills/Characteristics necessary to perform essential functions:
  • Working knowledge of project management
  • Strong Technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Strong Technical Writing skills, including use of Word, Excel, MS Project
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with clients on a variety of levels, often in
  • stressful situations.
