Schneider Electric invites applications from qualified candidates for the following post: Site Project Manager & Project Engineer
We are a General Contracting Company performing energy efficiency retrofits in the Kingston, Jamaica Area. Our Projects involve retrofitting HVAC, Lighting, Solar PV, Building Automation Systems, Plumbing in occupied Commercial & Federal Buildings.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and update project schedule on a routine basis
- Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with company quality policy
- Coordinate project in accordance with contract documents
- Schedule and conduct all project construction & safety meetings
- Manage subcontractors to deliver high quality installation on schedule
- Manage all document control for projects including but not limited to: RFIs, Meeting
- Minutes, Punchlists, Transmittal & Submittal Logs, Issues Logs, QC Checklists, As-builts, O&MsCoordinate and direct project closure to customer
- Project safety program administration
- Participate in subcontractor qualification, bidding & selection
- Collaborate with Estimating & Cost Control team and subcontractors to quantify construction costs. As required create engineering estimates for scope items
- Collaborate with Project Manager to create project's baseline construction schedule and closeout schedule
- Provide constructability reviews and input to the project team
- Review subcontractor and/or vendor submittals for completeness
- Facilitate review/approval of submittals by Project's Engineering Team
- Facilitate resolution of technical issues that arise during project's construction phase
- Responsible to interface with client, facility occupants, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and Schneider Electric Staff.
- Other duties may be assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A. Education:
- Associates Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical) or equivalent work experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in same disciplines highly desirable. Military/commercial training is an acceptable equivalent to a formal degree.
B. Experience:
- Minimum of five years of post collegiate experience in Engineering, Construction, Building
- Automation Systems (controls), HVAC Systems and/or Construction Management.
C. Skills/Characteristics necessary to perform essential functions:
- Working knowledge of project management
- Strong Technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Strong Technical Writing skills, including use of Word, Excel, MS Project
- Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with clients on a variety of levels, often in
- stressful situations.
- Ability to operate in a decision-making capacity.
