Project & Design Engineer - Engineering and Sales Company

A large Engineering and Sales Company based in Jamaica invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following position: Project & Design Engineer

CORE DUTIES:

·         Plan project implementation and define scope of work for internal and external contractors.

·         Prepare project schedule, as necessary, while carrying out proper planning and sequencing with technicians, clients and internal team.

·         Prepare contracts for internal and external contractors.

·         Prepare documentation of all projects

REQUIREMENTS

·         First degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.

·         Specialized training in Refrigeration Systems and Project Management.

·         Sound knowledge of the maintenance and operation of air conditioning plants, equipment and or systems.

·         In depth knowledge of application and design of commercial, industrial and institutional HVAC systems and equipment-VRF or VRV experience highly preferred.

·         At least two (2) years’ experience in a related operating environment.

·         Sound knowledge of the principles and practices of Supervisory Management.

·         Excellent computer skills with Auto-cad and Microsoft applications.

·         Knowledge of quality control, budget and cost control, planning systems.

·         Sound knowledge of Project Management techniques.

·         Sound knowledge of product and service standards.

·         Proven track record of performance.

Holder of a valid general driver’s licence and a reliable motor vehicle.
