Job Summary
As part of the strategic planning process, the Business Operations Analyst is to provide support by assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of corporate strategies and programs to improve efficiency of the Refinery.
As part of the strategic planning process, the Business Operations Analyst is to provide support by assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of corporate strategies and programs to improve efficiency of the Refinery.
Key Functions:
• Conducts environmental scanning and maintains a system for keeping abreast of industry trends and factors likely to affect company performance
• Prepares company performance reports with analysis of factors affecting performance.
• Prepares reports and briefs for international and government agencies
• Conducts special studies as required including financial and economic analysis
• Establishes and maintains databases of information relating to the company performance.
• Assists with the coordination of the annual strategic planning process.
• Assists with implementation of the companyʼs enterprise wide risk management program
• Provides technical support and guidance to departments on planning and performance monitoring

Suitable candidates should have:
• A Bachelorʼs Degree – Sciences; Engineering or Management Studies
• A minimum of three (3) yearsʼ experience
• Knowledge of the strategic planning process
• Business Analysis Training/Certification would be an asset

• Ability to work effectively with a wide cross section of individuals at different levels, including consultants, government officials, and other industry groups
• Very good analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral
• Sound qualitative and quantitative research skills
• Ability to work independently and liaise with management effectively
• Proficient with MS Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and software
