Tortuga International, a subsidiary of Jamaica Producers Group, is the manufacturer, marketer and distributor of one of the Caribbean’s leading tourist souvenir items, the Tortuga Rum Cake, invites suitable candidates to apply for the following position: Shipping/Delivery Clerk
The Shipping/Delivery Clerk is directly responsible for verification and maintenance of records on incoming and outgoing merchandise and ongoing preparation of items for shipment.
Key Competencies and Special Requirements:
• 5 CXE, CAPE subjects – Must include English, Mathematics
• 2 years of experience working in inventory, delivery/ dispatching
• Forklift Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License (Heavy Vehicle)
• Experience working in a food manufacturing setting
• Computer literate
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of shipping, warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Business ethics and integrity
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
• Good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Adaptability/flexibility
• Valid driver’s license (heavy vehicles) and access to transportation
