Cost Accountant

Concrete company with plants island-wide invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions: Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting data on raw materials inventory to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, fuel and labour
• Inventory Management
• Cost Analysis of plants, equipment and inventories
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
• Conducts physical inventories at all plants

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or ACCA, Level 2 and/or its equivalent
• Must have cost accounting systems background and have excellent analytical skills
• Sound understanding of accounting principles
• Have proficiencies in various Computer applications – Excel/Word
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
