The JPS & Partners Co-operative Credit Union is seeking to identify a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Credit Officer at its Ewarton Branch
CREDIT OFFICER CORE FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Credit Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- The effective management of the loans portfolio
- Conducting loan interviews and analyzing loan securities.
- Conducting credit reviews and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential borrowers
- Analyzing trends in actual performance against budget and prior periods
- Assess business proposals
- Assist with budget preparations relating to the Department
- Manage delinquency and Securities Perfection activities for the Branch
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Management Studies, Banking and Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution
- Four (4) years experience in credit administration preferably in a Credit Union or Banking environment.
- Well-developed analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent human relations and customer service skills.
