Credit Officer - The JPS & Partners Co-operative Credit Union, Ewarton Branch

The JPS & Partners Co-operative Credit Union is seeking to identify a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of Credit Officer at its Ewarton Branch

CREDIT OFFICER CORE FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Credit Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for:
  • The effective management of the loans portfolio
  • Conducting loan interviews and analyzing loan securities.
  • Conducting credit reviews and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential borrowers
  • Analyzing trends in actual performance against budget and prior periods
  • Assess business proposals
  • Assist with budget preparations relating to the Department
  • Manage delinquency and Securities Perfection activities for the Branch
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Management Studies, Banking and Finance or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Four (4) years experience in credit administration preferably in a Credit Union or Banking environment.
  • Well-developed analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent human relations and customer service skills.
