Warehouse Clerk

The National Family Planning Board, A Statutory Agency of the Ministry of Health is seeking to identify a motivated, results-orientated and qualified professional to fill the following vacancy: Warehouse Clerk

Job Purpose
To engage in the accurate receiving, storing, packing, and processing of supplies while meeting facility standards of safety, security and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Checks goods received against shipping documents/receival slips to ensure that quantities are correct.
  • Stows away and retrieves goods from storage area.
  • Prepares packing slips for goods to be supplied.
  • Assists in preparing monthly and quarterly stock reports.
  • Supplies contraceptives to clients based on Purchase Orders.
  • Ensures that goods are supplied on first expiry first out basis.
  • Assists in updating stock cards as well as the computerized stocks.
  • Assists with monthly random checks to verify stock balance.
  • Makes quarterly physical checks of inventory.
  • Ensures that security procedures are maintained at all times.
  • Identifies expired goods for disposals in advance and advises the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensures that vehicles are loaded with correct quantities prior to departure.
  • Ensures that contraceptives are stored in accordance with storage protocols.

  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Must show enthusiasm towards work and willing to perform duties assigned
  • Working knowledge of Inventory Software package
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma with at least 4 ‘O’ Level/CXC subjects
  • Two years’ experience working in a warehouse
  • Training in Inventory/Warehouse Management
