Hardware & Lumber Ltd., - a Jamaican company retailing and wholesaling building materials, home improvement supplies, household items and agricultural products, invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of: CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP REPRESENTATIVE RAPID TRUE VALUE (NORTH EAST REGION)

Purpose The Customer Relationship Representative professionally sells and markets the company’s portfolio of products to exceed established sales objectives and targets, manages the receivables; while building an excellent relationship with our customers. This is a 100% commission paid role.

Principal Responsibilities

•        Visit assigned customers to determine needs, advise on portfolio mix and introduce new products; while prospecting to seek out new business opportunities.

•        Check customer inventory and advise them on quantities to be ordered.

•        Prepare/collect customer order and forward to the respective department for processing; and liaise with relevant person/s to ensure that customer orders are processed, dispatched and delivered in accordance with company standards.

•        Collect payments from customer and forward to the respective unit.

•        Compile data on competing products and inform manager accordingly.

•        Undertake activities to grow the market share of assigned customers.

Key Deliverables:

•        Sales and collections objectives and targets are achieved in keeping with company standards.

•        Strong customer relationships are formed and maintained.

The ideal candidate:

•        Holder of a diploma in a Business-related discipline with at least three (3) yearsʼ experience in a similar role;

•        Excellent selling, negotiating, interpersonal and communication skills;

•        Flexible in relation to working hours and local travel;

•        Highly entrepreneurial, with commercial skills and network reach;

•        High level of initiative, personal integrity is a must.

•        Must own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.
