Senior Accountant Required

A medium sized establishment seeks to identify an experienced Senior Accountant to ensure the integrity of its accounting processes and its compliance.

Core Functions:

•        Review, develop and maintain the necessary financial controls, systems and processes to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s resources and compliance requirements.

•        Analyze financial data to create budgets and prepare internal reports for strategic business planning decisions.

•        Timely complete quarterly and annual regulatory schedules and filings within statutory requirements.

•        Develop, control and implement a program of internal audit to ensure that the company’s operation is carried out effectively with probity.

Key Competencies

•        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting /Finance.

•        Thorough understanding and application of current accounting principles, applicable laws, codes and statutory requirements.

•        Able to control and track inventory within set limits and be accountable for adverse variances.

•        High level of accuracy and confidentiality.

•        Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and accounting software programs is essential.

Qualification

•        Bachelors of Science in Accounting or its equivalent from an accredited University.
