Principal - The Bishop Gibson High school for Girls

The Bishop Gibson High school for Girls seeks to identify a Principal to maintain and build on the tradition and high standards of this 54 year old institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational planning and development; directing the operations and providing professional guidance and leadership to the entire institution inclusive of our parents and the community; must be committed to the philosophy and fundamental principles of Christian Education.

Prospective Candidate should:         

• Be a trained graduate with a strong academic background, with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Management.         
• Have a working knowledge of the Education Act /Education Regulations (1980), Child Care and Protection Act, Ministry of Finance FAA Act.         
• Certification in NCEL Principal Professional Programme.         
• Have at least five (5) years supervisory experience at the secondary level of Principal/Vice Principal.         
• Proven knowledge in Curriculum Development.         
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.         
• Have strong interpersonal communication, time management and organizational skills.         
• Be computer literate.         
• Be a STRONG DISCIPLINARIAN.         
• Proven knowledge of policy formulation.         
• Aptitude for strategic thinking, planning and implementation.        
• Have a strong understanding of strategies and programmes to optimize students’ achievements.
