Publishing Manager

PUBLISHING MANAGER - We are seeking an experienced manager with the passion for publishing and business developments, who is responsible for implementing strategies to further company’s book publishing business and managing relationships with retail accounts, distributors, and key marketing partners.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES   

• To initiate, plan, coordinate the publication of new contracts.   
• Ensure that publications are produced on schedule and on budget

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION   

• 5-7 years of experience in the publishing industry at the managerial level with demonstratable competencies to meet the needs of this position.   
• Equivalent of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

MINIMUM ABILITY, SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS   

• Possesses experience and proven contacts in the publishing industry   
• Proficiency with standard productivity programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)    Excellent oral and written communication skills.   
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously   
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines   
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally with culturally diverse clients, providers, and staff
