Technical Sales Representative

A small but rapidly growing distribution company operating in Jamaica for both international and local suppliers is seeking to fill vacancies for the position of Technical Sales Representative

RESPONSIBILITIES   

• Sell chemicals to leading Jamaican Food Processing Companies.   
• Develops sales opportunities by soliciting new accounts and growing current accounts.   
• Determine customer needs based on field study.   
• Prepare technical presentations and make recommendations to customers.  
• Expand awareness of our chemicals by communicating benefits and uses effectively to customers.    Troubleshoot Engineering problems with plant manager.   
• Provide Microbiology and technical training to companies

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS   

• BSc. Chemical Engineering or BSc in Chemistry.   
• Two to Four years sales experience.   
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.   
• Strong presentation, organizational and time management skills.   
• Strong negotiation and sales closing techniques.   
• Proficient in the use of all areas of Microsoft.   
• Possess a reliable motor car.   
• Flexible working hours.
