Information Technology Manager

Biomedical / Caledonia Medical Laboratory Ltd. requires the services of a qualified candidate to fill the post of Information Technology Manager to manage the planning, coordinating, and overseeing all computer-related activities within the company.

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development 
• Conduct review of existing hardware to ensure its suitability and compatibility with software 
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
• Maintain log of required repairs and maintenance 
• Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources and oversee installation and maintenance 
• Conduct staff training on relevant hardware and software 
• Ensure adherence with software licensing laws, contracts and agreements 
• Ensure that the network communication is secure and efficient 
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology 
• The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ information technology-related work experience 
• Knowledge and/or experience working with units/Linux systems, as well as PC work stations
• Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems and a multi-branch operation would be an asset
