Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Finance Manager, the Accounting Officer is responsible for the recording, updating and maintenance of the accounting records in a current and accurate manner.
Main Responsibilities:
- Timely completion General Ledger Reconciliation
- Maintain proper and accurate financial and accounting records and ensure timely preparation of management and financial reports.
- Provide input and assist Finance Manager in the preparation of Operational Budget.
- Review and reconcile Administration Expense Account
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Reconcile Members’ Ledgers to General Ledger.
- Submission of reports to Regulatory Authorities
- Liaise with external stakeholders to resolve issues within stipulated deadlines
Requirements:
- A First Degree from a recognized College or University in Management, Accounting or Finance/ ACCA Level II
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and meet strict deadlines
- Sound Analytical Skills
- Sound knowledge of Emortelle & TURBO Pay
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Good Oral and Written Communication skills
- Well developed Interpersonal Skills
- Good Time Management skills
