Deputy Director (Residential Child Care)

Applications are invited for the post of Deputy Director (Residential Child Care)

This Senior Management Team member is responsible for ensuring quality provision of residential child care services for all children in the Home’s care. The incumbent is expected to lead the coordination, implementation, monitoring of and reporting on a range of holistic development programmes for children of different ages and abilities. The Deputy Director is expected to reside on-site.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST:

• Be passionate about children
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a degree in Social Work, Guidance and Counselling, Special Education or other related discipline.
• Be adequately experienced, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with children in a group setting, including two years at a supervisory level. 
• Demonstrate working knowledge of promising practices in serving children with diverse needs and challenges
• Show sound understanding of the dynamics and challenges of residential child care.
• Share a commitment to Christian principles
